Hst7 Hot Stuff Super T Glue 1 Oz
Hot Stuff glue in words that we understand. This is similar to a crazy glue - but not as brittle. An example of this comment is that this particular glue is also used for RC projects. If a car hits a wall, it doesn't always fall apart - you stand a chance that the glue holds it together, so if your mini falls off the table and it was held with Hot Stuff, it might still be in one piece. The glue was developed to withstand the heat and vibration common in flying model airplanes.
This glue is a cyanoacrylate.
This version is gap-filling - meaning that two pieces do not have to fit tightly - that the thickness of the glue will fill and dry to fill the gap.
Don't breathe the fumes. They go up your nose and burn.
Hold the two pieces together for 30 seconds to bond. If you get glue on your fingers - hold your fingers apart, when dry file the glue off.
Store your bottle of glue in the plastic container provided. Keep it in the fridge. It will last longer. Be sure to take it out of the fridge 20 minutes before using.
If you are screwing the cap off to use because the tip is too clogged, try snapping a piece of raw spaghetti in half. You can then dab this in the glue and dab it on your project. (If you can't find a toothpick).
The above is the personal comments from me - the poster and a user. It does not replace the technical information below.
Below is the technical info:
"Super T MEDIUM gap-filling CA glue has a viscosity (200-300 cps), similar to syrup. This super glue is perfect for gluing somewhat porous materials and pieces which have small gaps between them. You can bond wood, metal, rubber, nitrile, composites like carbon fiber and Kevlar, many types of plastics, and more. To bond two parts together, apply the Super T CA glue to one part and accelerator to the other part, then push together and hold tightly for around 30 seconds.
Super T instant glue is used by professionals to assemble dental prosthetics, guitars and other musical instruments, auto stereo systems, movie sets, trophies, car and airplane interiors, high-end jewelry- the list is very long. Super T is our most versatile CA glue, able to bond porous and non-porous materials with a good fit as well as fill gaps, which is why it is so popular. You don’t have to be a professional to use this super glue- it’s perfect not only for recreational hobbies like model-building, but also for fixing all the little things that fall apart - even your shoes!
We recommend using the NCF Quick CA glue accelerator to speed up the cure time and ensure a complete cure of the bond. Accelerator is not always necessary when bonding materials, but it is a must-have when using Super T as a finish because it can take hours instead of seconds for CA glue to cure when it is sitting on a surface instead of being pressed between two parts.
Store unopened bottles in the freezer to extend shelf life. Bottles of super glue (any brand) which have been opened will experience a shorter shelf life if they are continually taken out of and put back into cold storage."
